What a gem we found like 10 years ago n to finally comeback to try again. We liked it the first n boy do we love it now!!!! It has been remodeled since the last time n also expanded I think. The place is very clean, our waitress was cleaning the window in between helping us n we saw another waitress cleaning the menu as well. Valeria was so kind n sweet with a warm smile n treated us like we were friends for a long time. I ordered the menudo n my wife got the machaca plate. The menudo was so wonderful with the tripe so tender that you could've eaten it through a straw n my wife loved her plate. I tried her rice n beans n I have to say it was the best rice n bean combo ever!!! We loved it sooooo much that we came the next day n Valeria even allowed our mini doxie that was in a dog stroller to eat inside cuz it was pretty warm outside. I ordered a shrimp taco n a rice, bean n cheese burrito n the wifey got a 2 taco combo plate. Once again, thee best rice n beans combo ever.......I can just picture it a I write this review n make the 2 hour drive to go back. The shrimp taco was excellent n my wife really enjoyed her plate. But dang that rice n bean burrito with their delicious salsas was incredible..... something so simple can ignite every taste bud you have. I can't wait to comeback to try something else..... thank you el rodeo n especially Valeria!!!!! I'd be in big trouble if I lived here!!

Best breakfast burritos in Palm Desert! I have been here twice and tried the ham breakfast burrito and the machaca and both were excellent. Very clean good quality food. Not your average greasy Mexican food. They have menudo on the weekend and my partner said it was excellent and authentic. Great service and even the salsa was great. If you like extra spicy they have it all!

We were told about this place from a friend so we decided to give it a try. Happy we did. A big shout out for the Menudo in particular. Only on weekends. Will come back to try Pozole. They were sold out of this on Sunday. Good sign. Fish tacos were very good. Nachos were very tasty and well done.

I have recently been to a rodeo twice in the past month after working down the street for two years and oh my God I've been missing out! First time I got chicken and carne Asada tacos. Both were great and serving sizes were enough for breakfast and then later lunch that day at work... Yes, I crave tacos for breakfast. Tonight after getting out of work very late, I placed an order to go and I got a Carne Asada burrito and... it's perfect... just enough spice without needing hot sauce, but not too spicy, lots of flavor but not to salty, fresh, balanced ingredients AND it comes with pico, sour cream and gauc, which is nice because I love all 3 but usually forget to order it. I am writing this as I devour the second half at midnight. What more can I say.. I ordered the most basic of Mexican foods and I have eaten at many other Mexican restaurants in the area, but the flavor in these was literally just perfect. Also I ate the remaking pico with a spoon it was sooo good! The restaurant is very nice too, much larger than I realized and while it has the charm and quality of an authentic "taco shop" it also has a nice ambiance. I look forward to dining in the restaurant and ordering a Chavela in the future. I wish I would've remembered to try this place sooner because I could've avoided a lot of wasted lunch breaks trying to decide what to eat that was quick affordable and nearby. Lastly Id like to add that working on El Paseo, I regularly get asked by tourists for the best Mexican restaurant nearby, and I often hesitate, because personally, I prefer the small hole in the wall spots like this versus the hyped up restaurants on my street(which btw no disrespect respect to those establishments, I just prefer the smaller spots when I just want some good Mexican food and I say this as white girl who has lived in socal her entire life and is very opinionated on what good Mexican food is )

Excellent. Do not sleep on this little spot. Food so good. Tacos el pastor and carnitas- yes. My personal favorite chiles gueritos rellonos de cameron (shrimp in yellow peppers)... best ever.

Excellent service, and great green sauce if you like a kick. I stopped here randomly while passing though in the morning. What was most appealing at first glance at the menu was the price. Everything nowadays is so over priced.... Everywhere I go I'm now being charged an extra 3.5% for use of a debit card. It's such a scam! We ordered a delicious veggie breakfast burrito, it had roasted peppers and onions, eggs, hash browns and not sure what else lol. Most places dem veggie burrito, just eggs, hashbrowns and cheese..... and maybe some beans but where are the veggies? cilantro? Most of the time they suck and it's disappointing for my wife. I, on the other hand love some machaca burritos! How can you go wrong with all your favorite ingredients wrapped up in a tender tortilla. Marinated beef, onions, peppers, spices, and eggs. Gently married with some melted cheese and hashbrowns..... sooooo good. I topped it off with the spicy green sauce, and it was rich with loving, homemade flavor. Add in a couple Micheladas for fun too. My only complaint would be when I left one of the waitresses said "bye gordo!" To my awesome gorgeous baby... this dude is so cute that one of the other servers asked to pick him up out of his highchair, and then walked him around the restaurant introducing him to all the staff. Dude was a hit..... I may be white, but I can speak Spanish gorda! Ps, I said, I can speak Spanish, and may not spell it right haha. But if I'm ever back in town, I'll be sure to grub here again.

We still love this place. First, the server for our takeout order was totally sweet and friendly and competent. Love their green sauce so much! Had the chiliquiles con pollo. The flavor is fantastic, although I can't handle the heat much. Husband can though! Tried the the carnitos steak fries nachos. Messy but kinda awesome. Seriously, this place is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the Coachella Valley. Friendly, clean and yummy.

Nice spot for Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch. El Rodeo's menu has a really nice selection for all three. The staff is friendly and good at their jobs. This is a small place with fifty or so seats inside (it looks like they're getting ready to expand) and some outside setting that I highly recommend. I had the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito and my wife had the Chicken Breakfast Burrito . The son tried The Mexican omelette. The Burritos are real good and the Son said his omelette (That comes with tortillas rice and refried beans) was second to none.
